Sophia Albrecht
Film director and event manager
Sophia Albrecht is 22 years old and has been a trained event manager (IHK) since 2021.
She has lived in Munich since October 2022 and is studying “Film and Television (Directing)” at the Macromedia University. From August 2023 to February 2024 she will be in Tallinn, Estonia (Baltic Film, Media and Arts School) as part of her semester abroad.
In addition to her studies, she has volunteered and worked independently on several video and event projects, including on the topic of "1700 years of Jewish life in Germany."
During and after graduating from high school at the Ignaz-Kögler High School in Landsberg am Lech, she worked in Hesse in the summer of 2019 at the Bad Hersfeld Festival as a directing intern and artist supervisor. From autumn 2019 to summer 2021 she completed her training as an event manager at Oberland Gastronomie GmbH.
The majority of her training time fell during the Corona period, during which Sophia organized extended weekly markets, open air festivals, live streams of events and commemorative events and with her idea of offering a “mobile home dinner” or a “rental vehicle dinner” at the Brauhaus Schongau , went through the media throughout Bavaria.
Together with two colleagues, she formed "TIOS", a group that organized both honorary and commissioned video projects and live streams with ZOOM integration. She was responsible for planning and organization, recording management, social media as well as editing and general post-production.
In fall 2021, she moved to Munich, registered a small business and studied two semesters in the field of "Near and Middle East (Hebrew)" at LMU, while she organized a larger grant project on the topic of "1700 years of Jewish life in Germany". Since autumn 2022 she has been studying film and television, with a focus on directing, at the Macromedia University.
In addition to her studies and work, she volunteers, among other things, as a club and group leader for the scouts of the VCP Stamm Lechrain e.V. and in Holocaust memorial work.
